At Rino's we strive for simplicity in concept and attention to details especially in matters of flavor and taste. We always respect cooking traditions that have evolved over generations. Rino is from Naples Italy and before Rino makes a specific dish into something new he always researches the historical, cultural, and regional contexts of the dish sometimes he wishes other chefs would pick up the charge and preserve the authenticity of the new dishes with the same passion that we do at Rino's.
With the arrival of 2006 Rino's Italian Ristorante and long-time partners Rino Dimeo and Hoss Takmil celebrate their 26th anniversary as one of Salt Lake's Favorite fine dining restaurants. Summer at Rino's always brings the bounty of fresh-from-the-garden produce, cultivated with tender loving care by Rino himself from his own greenhouse and garden, including baby zucchini, zucchini flowers, vine-ripened tomatoes, and fresh herbs.
Rino's has always recognized the importance of a healthy diet, mostly because of their Mediterranean influence, but also because of common sense. The menu has always offered dishes with light sauces and cream which is used sparingly. Most entrees are served with fresh and tasty vegetables, never overcooked, lightly seasoned with fresh herbs and spices.
In addition to his passion for gardening, Rino is also serious about his desserts. The extremely loyal regular clientele is treated nightly to home-made cheesecake, bread pudding with hot rum sauce, home made tiramisu, chocolate Mouse Cake, and a special cake or Tarte made daily.
If dining "Al fresco" is your style then Rino's Ristorante should be at the top of your list. We take great pride in our beautiful grape arbor patio and in featuring our fresh vegetables, herbs, and melons. We hope both the beauty of our arbor and the freshness of our produce bring you the same joy as they do for us. When our grape arbor is in full bloom it provides a romantic and private setting for dinner. Should you prefer, indoor seating is always available in our intimate, old world atmosphere.
Rino's offers an extensive wine list with varieties from the premier growing regions around the world, and diners are sure to find the right selection to pair with any entree, whether its Capellini Alla Sophia with scallops and lobster, or traditional veal picatta with lemon butter and capers.
